My girlfriend Mimi and I finally got to turn over our Starbucks sticker booklets today and redeem the 2008 planner. We had one last year, which we shared since we worked in the same office at the time. So what do I think of it? First, it’s a lot easier to carry around than last year’s version with its slimmer, softer faux(?) leather cover. Second, there are less “extras” like the tear-away cards shown in the pic. This year’s model doesn’t have the notepad anymore and the ballpen was replaced by a crappy pencil. And third, the binding is a lot better this time. Our 2007 planner had its pages come off the wires perhaps due to the weight of the paper.

Overall, I find it better than its predecessor because of its size and the minimal content. Of course, the latter could be due to cost-cutting. The 2008 planner will be 100% owned by Mimi this this time around because we’re working in different companies now. And I’m getting a Moleskine diary!
